The Princess and Her Heart

This is a story I wrote to tell young girls at a Princess Tea held in my church. The idea came from one of my favorite fairy tales as a child, The Princess and the Pea. I loved the pictures and thought it would be fun to sleep on top of all those mattresses. In my story, the princess learns about sin and how a sinful heart separates us from God and all that is good. She learns that she cannot hide her sin or change it by doing good things. Her parents share with her the story of the Prince of Heaven and explain that only He can mend her broken heart.

The illustrations in this book where so wonderfully done by my dear friend Kristina Mills.
