Are you hiding in the shadows? Does shame, fear, or regret over past mistakes keep you from being who God has called you to be? I heard the Lord say it is time to come out of your shadows and come under His shadow. It’s time for a new hiding place, from shadows to shadow.
A Vision During Prayer
Recently I was in prayer meeting praying for women in our city. I had a vision of God’s eyes, so I asked the Lord what He was looking for. That is when I saw her; a lady crouched in the corner of a dark room hiding in the shadows.
The Scripture that came to my mind was 2 Chronicles 16:9
For eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. (NASB)
His compassion towards her was so great! He wanted her to know that she was not forgotten. So I got out some paper and wrote out what I felt the Lord wanted to say to her and also to you.
From Shadows to Shadow
Daughter why does your head hang low?
Why are you hiding in the shadows?
You are not alone! The Father sees you.
His eyes have been searching throughout the earth looking for the precious ones on which He can bestow His love.
His eyes have stopped on you! You have captured His heart.
The Father knows you are not ready to leave the shadows, but will you trade your shadows of shame for His shadow of love?
He is not here to expose you with His light to the world. Instead, He wants to rescue you from the night. Will you take His hand?
Let Him love you and protect you under the shadow of His wings.
Here in His shadow you will find peace. His shadow is so great that it will overshadow every dark corner that you have previously hidden in until the darkness is completely consumed and erased from your memory.
No longer will the old shadows lurk or lord over you.
In His shadow you are free!
As you grow strength in this new hiding place you will be able to step out into the light with your head held high.
He will go before you, uphold you, and follow behind you with His goodness and mercy. You will forever be covered by His perfect healing shadow of love.
Will you move from your shadows to His shadow?
You can do it!
Be Bold! Be Brave!
He loves you!
You are welcome!
Here is some Scripture to stand on.
Those who live in his shadow will again raise grain, and they will blossom like the wine. His renown will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Hoses 14:7 (NASB)
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. I call on you, my god, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Psalm 17:8 (NIV)
On my bed I remember you; I thing of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Psalms 63:6-8 (NIV)
He reveals mysteries from the darkness and brings the deep darkness into light. Job 12:22
He has made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed me;and He has also made me a select arrow, he has hidden me in His quiver. Isaiah 49:2
